The short version
Payments are generally not refundable. In particular, there is no refund for a change of mind, for the unused part of a subscription period, or for unused allowance. The exceptions:
- The 14-day right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer living in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving access, as the law provides. If you asked for Swops to start straight away, you may have to pay for what you received up to the withdrawal, where the law allows. Link handles this right.
- Refunds by Link. Link may refund a purchase in the cases its own refund policy describes, such as a duplicate or unauthorised payment, or when you did not get access to Swops.
- Payments Swops could not use. Paid for a second Solo or Business subscription for the same workspace, for example from two tabs, or paid for a Team Pass after Business had already started there? Swops refunds the extra payment in full automatically and Link emails you the refund. In Purchase history it shows with , not applied after its label.

How to ask
Send refund and withdrawal requests to Link, the merchant of record:
- at support.link.com,
- through your Link account at app.link.com, or
- through the link in the receipt email Link sent you.
You can also contact us. Include the date and amount of the payment and the workspace it was for.
What a refund does
A full refund ends the purchase it pays back, and the allowance it gave is withdrawn from the workspace. The same applies when a payment is reversed after a dispute with your bank.
| Refunded | What happens in Swops |
|---|---|
| A Solo or Business payment | The subscription stops at once and paid access ends. You then have 30 days to view and export. The allowance from the refunded period is withdrawn. |
| A Team Pass or a renewal | Its 12 months come off the end of the pass and its 3 collection slots go. Collections you created stay. If that ends the pass, you have 30 days to view and export. Its allowance is withdrawn. |
| A top-up | Its scans or analyses are withdrawn. Your plan does not change. |
| Part of a payment | Nothing changes in Swops. |
The invoice stays in Purchase history, marked · refunded. See Invoices and receipts.
Cancelling is not a refund
Cancelling a subscription stops future payments. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and there is no refund for that period. See Cancel or resume a subscription.
Deleting your account cancels a renewing Solo straight away, also without a refund for the current period. See Delete your account.
Before you dispute a charge
Do not recognise a payment? It may be Swops, sold through Link. See Who is Link, and why is it on my bill?. If something is wrong, ask Link or us first: it is usually the quickest way to sort it out.
