Change the card for a subscription

Only the owner can do this, while the Solo or Business subscription is active.

  1. Open the workspace: your personal space for Solo, the company workspace for Business.

  2. Go to AccountManage payment method, under Billing & access. The row says Opening… for a moment.

  3. Swops opens Stripe’s billing page, or your account at Link (app.link.com), where Swops subscriptions are managed. Change your card there.

  4. Come back to Swops when you are done.

The next renewal uses the new card. Your plan, price and renewal date stay the same.

Do not see the row?

Manage payment method appears only for the owner, and only while a Solo or Business subscription is active.

  • Team Pass and top-ups are one-time payments, so there is no subscription card to update. You choose how to pay in the checkout each time you renew a pass or buy a top-up.
  • A subscription that has ended, or a workspace that is export-only after a failed payment, does not show the row. Sign in at app.link.com, or use the link in an email from Link if you have one. See When a renewal payment fails.
  • A member of a company workspace cannot change its card. Ask the owner.

Link may email you when the card on a subscription is about to expire, or when a payment fails, with a link to update your card. Using that link does the same as Manage payment method. You can also sign in at app.link.com at any time.
