Two roles

  • Owner: the person who created the company workspace. There is one, shown as Workspace owner in the member list.

What members see

Rows that only the owner can use, such as Cancel renewal or Workspace name, do not appear for members. Where a member does reach a plan or a top-up, Swops says so:

  • Ask the workspace owner: "Only the owner of … can choose its plan. Your contacts and access stay as they are."
  • "Only the owner of … can add a top-up. Ask them to add one, or wait for your next included allowance."

Who captured what

In a company workspace every contact shows who added it, in a small line near the bottom of the contact page: for example Captured 12 Oct 2026 · Card scan · Tom Becker. Swops shows the person’s name, or their email address if they have not added a name: Change your name.

Handing the workspace to someone else

Swops has no option to make someone else the owner. A few things follow from that:

  • The owner cannot leave the workspace, but can delete it instead.
  • While someone owns a company workspace, they cannot delete their Swops account: they delete the workspace first. See Delete your account.

If your owner is moving on, or ownership should sit with someone else, contact us with the workspace name and who should take over, using the owner’s email address if you can. Meanwhile, anyone in the team can export the collections to CSV: Export contacts to a CSV file.
