The limits
Alongside your plan’s allowance, a few fair-use limits protect Swops from misuse. They are set well above what a busy stand needs: 60 cards an hour is one card every minute, for a whole hour.

In a team, every person has their own hourly limits: five colleagues on one stand can read up to 300 cards an hour between them.

The minutes in each message are worked out for you, so they vary. The follow-up email limit has no message: above 200 a day, further follow-up emails that day are not sent.
Nothing is charged
Anything refused by a limit uses no scan and no analysis. It is refused before anything happens.
Every attempt counts
The hourly limits count every card read and every analysis started, including ones that were free in the end, such as a card already in the collection or a photo that was not a business card. The AI still had to read them.
Never limited: adding contacts by hand, priorities and notes, reopening saved briefs, following an analysis that is already running, and exporting.

AI is paused for a short while. Nothing was charged. Please try again later. is something else. It is a temporary pause of new AI work for everyone, not a limit on your account.
- New scans, My card reads, new analyses and company-context drafts are refused while it lasts. Nothing is charged.
- Analyses that are already running finish. Ones still waiting to start run once the pause is over.
- Manual entry, notes, saved briefs and exports keep working.
The pause ends by itself. Keep collecting with Enter manually, or keep the cards and scan them later.
